THE NEED

Breaking the Cycle of Financial Strain.

Surveys show that nearly **48% of Canadians** live paycheque to paycheque. In the Okanagan, soaring housing and living costs make this reality even more challenging.

We know that financial strain is not just a math problem—it leads directly to physical and mental health hurdles. We recognize the systemic barriers keeping people from accessing clear, unbiased education. By providing knowledge, confidence, and tailored support, we help people break cycles across generations.

"When individuals thrive, so do families, and our community across generations."

birthed over a coffee...

The Launch Origin Story

Like most good ideas, Launch Okanagan was birthed over a coffee and a serious conversation between great friends and co-founders Michael Wendland, a local entrepreneur, and Laurence East, lead pastor of Metro Community.

Michael asked: “How do I add value and help change lives for those experiencing vulnerability?” Laurence responded: “Let’s take what you’re passionate about—financial success—and use it to restore dignity and hope.”
